Feel Whole Again 〰️

A look into areola restoration

Areola restoration, also known as 3D tattooing, is a cosmetic procedure that uses pigments to create a realistic-looking areola and nipple on a breast after surgery. This technique, sometimes referred to as paramedical tattoo, is for anyone who may have had a mastectomy, total loss, irregularity, or inconsistency in their areola and nipples after breast reconstructive surgery or augmentation. Areola restoration can help people regain a sense of wholeness and self-confidence.

During the process I want you to feel as comfortable and safe as possible. I offer numbing cream for each service, a robe, privacy screens, pillows, heating pads and if you prefer to be in a private room it can be arranged at the shop. I’m happy to meet with you and have a consultation to talk more about the process from start to finish.

Receive $50 off an areola service if you leave me a review!

Your touch up appointment will be scheduled during your initial appointment.

A touchup takes place 6-12 weeks after the initial appointment and is crucial to see the healed results and how the ink settles in your skin. A touchup is especially important if there is particularly a lot of scarring around the area because often times scarred tissue has more trouble holding ink.

A non-refundable $100 deposit is required for appointments.

After Care

♥ After 24 hours, remove the bandages

♥ Limit wearing a tight bra for the first 48 hours to allow the area to breathe.

♥ Before touching or washing your tattoos, clean your hands thoroughly

♥ Wash your areolas before bed with lukewarm water and unscented soap or cleanser (NO BAR SOAP)

♥ Apply a thin layer of unscented lotion once area is clean

♥ Repeat the cleaning and aftercare process in the morning for 5 days

♥ Avoid over-saturating with aftercare balm or lotion, but don’t let the area become too dried out either.

♥ After 5 days, switch to using unscented lotion for the next week, such as Lubriderm or Cetaphil.

What to Avoid During Healing:

♥ NO scented lotions or tanning lotions for 1 week.

♥ NO scratching, picking, or peeling any dry skin or flakiness.

♥ NO foreign body fluids around the tattoo for 5 days.

♥ NO activities that cause extreme sweating for 5 days.

♥ NO swimming pools, hot tubs, or other bodies of water for 5 days.

♥ NO UV exposure, including tanning booths, for 5 days.

♥ NO exfoliants, retinol acids, glycolic acids, and alpha hydroxy acids on the area for 30 days after the appointment, as they can cause premature fading.

After Healing:

♥ Areola tattoos can last for many years, but the longevity depends on factors such as lifestyle, skin type, and aftercare.

♥ Apply sunscreen with an SPF of 50 or greater on the area if exposed to the sun or tanning beds.

♥ Avoid using chemical exfoliants on the areolas, as they can cause fading.

♥ Avoid laser treatments near the areola tattoo area, as some lasers may alter the ink color.

♥ Additional touch-ups may be required after a few years to maintain a fresh, bold, and beautiful look.
