Pyrography
Pyrography is the ancient art of writing with fire. It involves decorating materials (most commonly wood, but also leather, paper, and gourds) by burning designs onto the surface using a heated tool or metal nib.
My husband gifted me my very own Colwood burner in 2014. I started to really get into it during quarantine as a means to get some cash flow into our house and I was surprised how many people actually liked my work and wanted to purchase it. I began working makers markets and opened a few commissions during the holidays over the next few years.
I’m pleased to be able to offer the opportunity to get a pet portrait or a custom design year round!
Pricing
4-7 inches - $100-300 (1-3 pets)
7-12 inches - $250-500 (1-4 pets)
9-16 inches - $350-700 ?(1-5 pets)
You will choose between a bark raw edge or finished edge. Each piece comes with a saw tooth hanger. Price may fluctuate with multiple pets on one piece of wood. Names can be added for an additional cost of $20-30
